[ART] Catch up Dumping
Something I've come to learn about myself is that posting for me is like a pain in the ass. Mostly 'cause I've come to fear writing, which is bad, more specifically anything pertaining to talking about myself. My trouble is that I talk more eloquently that I write. Generally, I'll write a sentence then give up. My role in discussion and posting (Mostly DA) has been that of a quiet spectator. This role in many ways suits me; However, I think that if I'm going to settle for mediocre that I make the most of this journal as an art focus. I'm going to try to make my posts, when I post feature art work of some kind.
And I'm spent I'm sure I had more to say, but... yeah...
First Older of Business is to catch this journal up on all the old stuff in a series of Art Dumps. Now tomorrow I'll be skiing, so Monday I'll Dump again. (Snigger... It's like I'm twelve again)
EDIT: Jokes on me, Technically it's Sunday, so no extra posting today.

This is a rather... Quick I'd say, cover to a French project. The project was a day-in-the-life of Stephen Colbert. I like the each piece of this picture, but not together, it's too red. And everything is leaning and awkward. But what the heck. I needed to start focusing on my DA again.
Focus attended!

So recently I've been getting into this habit of borrowing art supplies from friends and school. Which gives me more access to tools I don't normally work with, such as pen and ink. It's been a about a year since I used pen and ink and so picking it up again was a nice change from pencil.
Anywhoo, this is Sam Winchester a prep picture for my Mer!Sam in Ink.

2009/02/17/
My second prep drawing for the Mer!Sam in ink, I like the expression, though as you can see I accidentally got a drop of ink on his face, this happened just as I had finished the picture, le sigh.
I'll just pretend that Sam Winchester's mole moved... and grew.

2009/02/17/
I have a this stack of peter sketches that have been really irritating me, so far ink is the closest medium to which I've gotten near a resemblance to peter, sigh.
That guy has a face that is so unique, and yet so impossible to capture.
Sigh I think I'll redo this one 'cause I really don't like... Let's begin at the hand for one thing.
Anywhoo, I'm still working towards that Supermodel!Peter picture I know what it looks like and I've got sketches, but it's missing that Peter-esque quality.
I think I've got Nathan Petrelli down though.

2009/02/17/
The Second Peter Petrelli Prep, he's in his nurse uniform.

2009/02/17/
The Third in ink for the Supermodel!Peter Prep Project Proposal Pension Plan... Peter Petrelli picked a peck of pickled peppers, how many pickled peppers did Peter Petrelli pick? (I'm a little tired)
Anywhoo, it almost looks like he's going for "Blue Steel," but not quite making it.
That reminds me I saw a sceencap from on the set and in the photo was Matt and Mohinder and Mohinder was doing this Cat-walk walk and making a "Blue Steel" face. And one of the commenters of that post said, umm... I think "Zoohinder," so I think that means that now Super(underwear)modelPeter has a Supermodel Buddy, Zoohinder.

I'm going to call this a Preview of what's to come, this is from a running House/Foreman running gag that began in season one. This panel comes from season one when Foreman asks Cameron and Chase, "Is he riding you?" They reply no, so Forman asks, "Why is he only riding me!?!"
I'll look up the episode and find what The three of 'em say exactly.
Anywhoo very Funny House/Foreman Subtext exist in many of the House MD episodes I suggest look'n for it 'cause it's pretty cool to watch.

Colbert may not have seen Hodgman but it seems Mac (Justin Long) has, as well as Rob Riggle. (from the First page) Too Bad for Riggle, Hodgman (PC) is well trained in many Martial Arts. But really PC had to do it, Riggle was Threatening iPhone, who as we know some relation to Mac.
Luckily I believe Mac caught that hint too.
This is the third in a set of pictures which has become a running gag. At about the week before the release of the iPhone there were episodes of "The Colbert Report" in which Stephen Colbert demanded a free iPhone from Steve Jobs and apple.
Anywhoo after re-watching those episodes, this came to mind playing off of the Rob Riggle picture, when Hodgman (AKA resident expert, or PC) came on to do his thing.
The idea is Colbert tracking down Hodgman, after his show, for of course an iPhone. Unfortunately Hodgman gives Colbert the slip and Colbert continues his search elsewhere.
Then Rob Riggle finds Hodgman, and too back for Riggle Hodgman knows the ancient art of Havarti and Ribbon Wrapping. Shortly after Hodgman has taken care of Riggle, Mac (Justin Long, I'm guessing he's there for an interview) shows up and is rather surprised to see that one of the Daily Show's toughest Pundits hanging from the roof.
One Picture left to go in this series so far.

I'll fix this up later, I wanted to submit it for two good friend of mine, PunkRockWereWolves (DA) and
platypus_dreams
platypus_dreams sparked the idea of Mer!Sam here [link] and here [link] and we both wanted to upload more Mer!Sam since, so this is for you bud!
And
PunkRockWereWolves 'cause I asked to use the ink that was used in the last six pictures and he asked for some Mer!Sam and who am I to deny him such a fun offer? Thanks dude for the pen and Ink and I hope you like it!
Originally I had a cute sorta Mer!Sam that was similar to previous models, (I'll upload that too) but this time I went for a much more... muscle-y version, but certain elements of that previous picture lingered into this one. Such as the Piece of Coral in His Left hand, (His left hand, my right) and the sea-rat in his Right hand. (His pet, I believe was the ruling on that) Finally Mer!Sam has a Flower in his hair, originally it was supposed to be a Starfish, but for got and modeled it off of Ariel's Hair-flower thing. Other than that I think that's it.
Oh, and if you're wondering Sam's back is of the sand of the ocean floor and he's looking up. (Very few references for this angle)
Much love to all.
And I'm spent I'm sure I had more to say, but... yeah...

'Course I like Chase and Cameron picking on Foreman best of all, because it makes me giggle and giggle. PC's expression is just the cutest. And mermaid!Sam--the water, er, texture? is fantastic.
Have you subscribed to
Oh and. I'm really sorry I teased you for a spelling mistake. I hope I didn't contribute to making you feel like you can't trust your writing or you don't want to. This is your journal, man, nobody's judging, it's not an essay. Plus the best way to write better is to write more, so...I hope you update lots, is what I'm saying! Also, I love getting long rambly emails from you! So. I am sorry about that.

Oh, then if you like that then you'll like the sketch of Cameron and her many revenges of Foreman. (There are bees) I'm glad you like the Mac/PC, that one is just a random one out of a series. Thank you I worked very hard on Sam's... "Texture"
I have not! That sounds like I think I'll mosey over there now. Tra la la
Oh, what? No, no, no! Spelling mistakes are, what I do! (Except when I spellchack) Writing words is like... a Chore, almost, except when I get into the mood of writing. Sorta like I start writing a sentence, get bored, leave, and never post what I was going to write.
I enjoy emailing, it's like writing a journal entry without the need for complete thoughts! Though, I mostly ramble because I'm just trying to get all the information in there before I forget what I was going to say.
By the end of this comment I've rewritten it like three times, because I kept changing my train of thought.
Thanks again!

A lot of times, too, I prefer to post an image because words... they say things more clearly and sometimes I want to hide a bit. And images are more open to interpretation!
I really your mark-style with the pen sketches, very... emotional? Expressive? And, bwah! The humor in the House piece! :3 Foreman looks so pissed off.

I know what you mean, it's like sometimes I just wanna convey a feeling, or idea and words just get in the way. Which is unfortunate because context usually helps the viewer... Or something.
Expressive! I like that, though to tell you the truth, the ink kept drying up really fast and the only way to keep the ink liquid was to keep it moving. I always feel so bad for Foreman, he never seems to win, but it's his smugness that makes it fun just to keep teasing! Thank you kindly for your comments!
